A Day In The life

One day, one passing moment in time the creaking boards within the floor where now they rest forever more seasons pass and journeys end

A Day In The life

One day, one passing moment in time
The creaking boards within the floor
Where now they rest forever more
Seasons pass and journeys end

But within my heart, there is you my friend
One thought, one gesture, an act of kindness
No deed too small, nor gesture too big
Could break our bond like fallen twigs
My love, my life the seed my wife
That comforts me when I feel pain
And shelters me from pouring rain

My children bring hope for the future, as all children do
Something so pure and yet very true
There is no difference, just distance between me and you
To the vessel my heart, I know this is true

Like sand passes slowly through the hourglass
Bring hope for the future and remember the past
Some mistakes, were not meant to last
A day to remember, but time has passed
