A Whisper In The Woods

 A Whisper In The Woods

In the evening mist
The silence of the forest
Is to hard for me to resist

I walk along the dirt track
On this peaceful starry night
When suddenly out of the darkness
I hear a whisper in the woods

I ask in a loud voice "If anyone's there"
Just a minutes silence then I hear the whisper call again
So I move a little closer to hear the whisper just ahead
But when I arrive there is nothing in sight

So I stop in the meadow and call out again
Then suddenly I hear the whisper calling out my name
That sends chills right down my spine
I run out of the forest as fast as I can, As I fear for my life
I tell a friend the next morning of my tail in the woods
He didn't look surprised by the look seen in his eyes
So I asked him what was wrong and much to my surprise
He said"so you've heard of it then"
I said"yes my friend continue"
He answers "It is the whispering woods my friend"
