Against The Odds
Albatross glimmer out beyond the bay
Silhouette beside the grey
As I stand here amongst the clay
Against the odds I have to say
I wouldn't have it any other way
Thoughts accompany with feelings of leisure
Beside the sea, I fill with pleasure
Taint of hand and faint of heart
How is it now my eyes are shut
Isn't agony just an affiliate of despair
Who is thou and why should I care
Caught within the depths of my own despair
Benevolent how could I believe
In all the things, that I had conceived
Shattered dreams and broken hearts
Rest beside the sea where tears depart
Question this beside the tower
What is truth and who holds the power
Amidst the rains of this summer shower
For this could be our finest hour
