And I Think To Myself

Adorned by the first rays of light alas farewell to the night birds sing, songs in the morning light while leaves fall from the trees within my sight cobblestones glisten beside the stream is this my heaven or just another dream

 And I Think To Myself

Adorned by the first rays of light
Alas farewell to the night
Birds sing, songs in the morning light
While leaves fall from the trees within my sight

Cobblestones glisten beside the stream
Is this my heaven or just another dream
Long have I watched, as blades of grass sway in the breeze
Where now the leaves rest with ease

Speckled light shone through the canopy of trees
And all I could do was layback with ease
And watch as the clouds drift by
And I think to myself, I wonder why

Why is it that we orbit the sun
Why is that we need to run
Why have I not experienced more fun

And why have I done
All the things that I've done
