Are We Justified

Like the rustic leaves that fall among the trees on hollowed ground I shed a tear, and fear for am I humbled beneath the light while the innocent die, hidden beyond my sight

 Are We Justified

Like the rustic leaves that fall among the trees
On hollowed ground I shed a tear, and fear
For am I humbled beneath the light
While the innocent die, hidden beyond my sight

For it's not right to give into surrender
Upon the eve of gentle slumber
For in a world riddled with sadness
Between all of the chaos and the madness

But are we justified in believing
The seeds we've sown are so deceiving

For it is written among the heavens
Etched upon the stones
But is there an answer
For there is hope for all our futures
Within this seed, my beating heart
