Basking In The Summer Breeze
Basking in the summer breeze
Beside the stream where children played
Within the shadow cast from yonder trees
The parents watched and rest with ease
Some would swim within the surf
Lapping waves would line the shore
While others watched from the turf
The ocean sounded with a peaceful roar
Where now they rest forever more
White sails shimmered beneath the golden sun
There power fed by countless winds
Unseen by thy eyes but present still
I felt their thrill upon my spine
Thy hand was soaked in linen and tread
While others watch and others feed
Beneath the covers they had shed
While the sun shimmered high above there head
Golden tans had lined the shore
Beside the sea that let out a silent roar
Soaked in sands that lined the shore
I had felt my pulse beat once more
Beside the sea, I was sure
