Be It So Bold
So meek am I beneath these southern skies
I sit here sometimes and wonder why
Be it so bold to fold away my longing
And travel forth to distant lands
Where tales await, still left untold
With saddened eyes these tears I weep
Upon these streets of sand and stone
Beneath the hum of flint and bone
Oh how I yearn for new horizons
To distant lands waiting out beyond the bay
But for now I am humbled here beside the sandy shores
Where dreams are born and hope takes flight
I wait for the slip of night
Beneath the stars so near yet far
I sometimes wonder where you are
By the light of day the stars shall fade
With tired eyes I stare at thee as I look upon the sea
Be it so bold to pack away my longings
And find my place away a new
For now there's hope my dreams will all come truePoetry 1 | Poetry 2 | Poetry 3 | Poetry 4 | Poetry 5| Poetry 6 | Poetry 7 | Poetry 8 | Poetry 9
