Beacons

Like beacons we wait beneath the stars this night to far to hold but full of hope mirrored reflections, of thoughts I ponder beneath the land of gentle slumber

Beacons

Like beacons
We wait beneath the stars this night
To far to hold but full of hope
Mirrored reflections, of thoughts I ponder
Beneath the land of gentle slumber

With gentle hands I wait and wonder
Sit a while to dream and ponder
For now I walk beneath the thunder
Heavens to hold delight the soul
My fears are shed by light of feather and bow

Beside the river wild flowers grow
Swaying gently to and fro
Beneath yon light the bow will break
Upon this land a twist of fate

Never shall I hope to find
Another place to clear my mind
Reflections of the innocence lost
But what was the price and what is the cost
