Before My Time

No longer shall I hesitate and linger here beside the lake beneath the heavens that now cry I find myself left high and dry

Before My Time

No longer shall I hesitate
And linger here beside the lake
Beneath the heavens that now cry
I find myself left high and dry

Burdens begrudge me in the still of night
And I have seen the heavens within my sight

Who among us shows they care
And has seen me left standing there
No speckled seeds upon which I feed
I have no time for foolish greed

What burdens me is life and love
Beneath the stars in the heavens above
But I am like the humble dove
That soars upon the sea of love

Quest of me with this last breath
The one true testament to life itself
No longer shall I burden thee
Within this life of misery

There is the hope that you may know
Before my time, when I must go
