Beside The Echo Of The Chimes
Swoon me not nor leave me hollow
For I am not the light of sorrow
Leave me hidden in the dark
And wait for me in the park
Where fallen leaves fall without sound
Upon this virgin hallowed ground
And wolves howl in the still of night
Beneath the heavens shining bright
Alas I know my place in time
And I am bound within your rhyme
To hear the echo of your heart
And to listen to you in the dark
No tears are wept within the weeping hollows
Nor shall I hold you in my sorrow
For there are echoes in the mist
And I've surrendered to your kiss
For I have tasted the nectar of your fruit
And you are the bounty of my loot
Treasure every moment shared
And I am yours when you are there
Humble me beside the brook
For tender is your gentle look
And may the heavens be my lover
For I have known of many others
Alas I know my place in time
Beside the rhythm of the chimes
