Betray Thy Heart

Betray thy heart caved form stone for now I rest without a home within the shadows where I now roam is there a place to call my own for in the darkness I am cold, alone

Betray Thy Heart

Betray thy heart caved form stone
For now I rest without a home
Within the shadows where I now roam
Is there a place to call my own
For in the darkness I am cold, alone

Beneath the stars the bitter cold bites
To this face do I look so old?
Withered by the fleeting snow
That wages war between my toes

Shredded dignity swept away
Delivered by the light of the day
Caught within the shadows, where I now blend
To taste the bitterness of wicked man
Beneath the grey, the hidden hand

To toil the spoils of this beating heart
Within my eyes the tears depart
Aided by this broken heart
