Beyond The Veil
Like beacons that glisten beyond the bay
On bended knee I rest and pray
For what light comes to shed its light
Beneath the stars this precious night
Where leaves now rest on hollowed ground
Oh sacred vow without a sound
Before this land of border brown
Shall I shed my skin, before my kin
To see the light that dwells within
Perhaps I shall before I chant
There is no need for words like can’t
Breathe so that I might live
Beyond the light of heavens sight
Clipped by wings of sacred flight
That purges the sky this precious night
Rejoice in this my sacred heart
Before the tears of joy depart
Where I now walk within this sacred place
Beyond the veil of human face
That borders there within my faith
