Blowing In The Wind
Are we hunted by the past every time we shut our eyes?
Are we lost to the ignorance of our yesterdays?
As we move forward in our lives
Are we blinded by the past with
the lesson that we have learned?
Is the question answered an answer we have earned
Are the images of the past hidden behind our eyes?
Cold reminders, life's illusion in the cold light of the day
Will the thoughts of our yesterdays
Be blown away by the winds of change
Will the pain of our lives heal
with the sounds of the ocean waves?
Will we forget about the burden of our lives upon the way?
Will we breathe the breath of life's spender?
As we look to the horizon where the sun is sure to rise
Or are we burdened by the past every time we shut our eyes
Is there hope for the future as we drift throughout the night?
Can we learn from our mistakes
as the world spins throughout the night
The light of distant stars will know
Now breathe it in where do we start where do we all begin
When we are blowing in the wind.
