Blue Collar

Early in the morning
He awakens to a new day
He gets up out of bed
A quick cup of coffee and something to eat
Then out the door and on his way
To the mill just down the way

This blue collared worker
Gives his time to earn his pay
It may seem like so much
But this is how he pays his way

He may not really like his job every single day
But when comes down to the church
This is the sacrifice he makes
Just to feed and clothe his family
Because they are the light
That make all his troubles fade away

And when the day is done and everything is done
Then home again to the ones he loves
Then of to sleep, till morning comes
Then off to work it begins the same as every other day
