Cherished Thoughts

Endless flurry of falling snow and dashing rain fell upon my windowpane the howling wind outside the door let out a very loud roar

Cherished Thoughts

Endless flurry of falling snow and dashing rain
Fell upon my windowpane
The howling wind outside the door
Let out a very loud roar

It made me restless and I could sleep
As I listen to the heavens weep
I shuffled around with slippers upon my feet

As the twilight hours turn
I watch the fire as it burns
And listen to the pulsing beat
I felt my heart and it was sweet

Thoughts seem to linger in my mind
And there I found my place in time
Even though my heart has plenty to say
Unspoken words were left that day

Cherished thoughts that I held dear
brought me to that place I fear

Where thoughts are thrown upon the dust
And how I made such an awful fuss
And there I found my zest for lust
Hidden in a pile of dust
