Did You Ever Stop, To Think And Wonder Why

Disembark from your ways of discrimination
Beneath our multi-coloured skin the blood flows red
For we are one of many nations
Living in this world of thread

Tangled in this web we are weaving
Makes it hard to conceive our sight
For in this world we have our rights
As we drift on by in the eternal night

Acid rain flows through our drains
But we are here and all the same
Living under god’s sacred flame
Who among you could hold a light to his good name

CFCs peer through the sky
But did you ever stop to think and wonder why
As the ozone slips from our sight
Is this our last chance to make it right

The artic melts and fades into the night
Alone in the darkness have we lost our light

While people starve in the dusty plains
We experience the torrential rain
Beneath the skin we are the same
Living in this natural plane
That we call home in the driving rain
