Long ago in a manger
No crib for his head
The little lord Jesus
Asleep in his bed

Noel to the first-born
For the saviour has come
A gift from the heavens
Gods will had been done

In the name of the father
And his holy son
Bring joy to the world
And goodwill to all men
As we remember our saviour
And that first Christmas Day
