Holler For A Shelter
I'm living in the harbour city
My how the flowers, are looking so pretty
Songs sound of yesterdays
Playgrounds where children play
Listen to misery beneath the city streets
Voices in the ghetto shouting
While others stamp their feet
So often I have listened to the news
Fed on broken promises, riddled with the blues
Holler for a shelter,
I have seen the helter-skelter
Cheers for that same old song
I've written words to sing along
And I suggest that we should carry on
Suggesting, that I was down in my shoes
Hanging on broken promises, Burdened with the blues
Nobody felt me in pestilence,
I've seen side of violence
Beneath the shadow of the towers
And walked among the streets for hours
