I Had Not Envisioned

I had not envisioned a world absent of light beneath the stars in the still of night life had grown so bitter and cold and I had awakened the light within my soul

I Had Not Envisioned

I had not envisioned a world absent of light
Beneath the stars in the still of night
Life had grown so bitter and cold
And I had awakened the light within my soul

With each breath I felt you near
And I knew that there was no reason to fear
My spiritual heart was alive with your love
Even if the moon was absent in the sky above

No men lesser be, could be the one to burden me
For in my heart your love shone bright
Beneath the sky so absent of light

And I could hear the planet cry
As tears fell from the falling sky
But as we crumble into the sea
I could see how humbled we came to be

No men set forth could break our hearts
Even when the light above us, had departed
