It Ought To Be
It ought to be certain our future
But alas for it is not
For I have heard the sounds of gun fire
That lights the sky upon this night
Beneath the stars are we aware
Of how lucky we really are
As we drift across the heavens
Upon the eve of eternal night
For I have felt the earth breathe
As the wind moves through the trees
I have heard the sounds of thunder
As the lighting crashes down
So light as I stand here, listen
As the earth trembles beneath your feet
Our future ought to be certain
But alas it is not
