Just Another Turn
The cold reminders of long lost yesterdays
Thoughts quickening like the sands of time
Mirrored reflections written upon the dusty pages
To record the passage marked as time
As I wipe the water from my face
I look towards the horizon
Confusion blowing upon the endless ocean
Distant sounds of waves come crashing down
As the wild fires burn brightly
We drift throughout the heavens
As the planet starts another spin
Will I drink from the paper cup?
When I find myself down on luck
Will the light of my heart fade?
If i'm hurt by the pain of love
Shall I turn and walk away
Save myself for yet another day
