Life On The Ice
The winds of change blow
In across the arctic waste land
As the light fades out of sight
And a multitude of colour
Comes and fills the sky
The polar bear makes ready
to sleep for the longest night
While the walrus takes a moment
to rest upon the icy shore
Then he is of to catch some shellfish
That he had the day before
The reindeer head south
To wait out the longest night
Where the grass is always greener
On the other side
The arctic hares
Run along the ice
Foraging for food
Upon the longest night
