Madam La Faye
I said this one sacred night
Behold this beacon in thy hand
That I now place before this sovereign land
Cedric said to Madam La Faye
That perhaps we should keep, the night owl away
From the field in which the children play
Behold the grinch that broke
The young maidens heart
Then left the village by horse and cart
The minstrel played as the poet wrote
Oh to a note by a little fur coat
And the king would say,
To his very dismay
If only she had plucked the bow on yon harp
Then pursued that grinch that left in a cart
