Misty Mound On Mountain High
Soft and mellow clouds flutter in the sky
Misty mound on mountain high
Unclothed trees of skeletal shadow
Dancing leaves so soft and mellow
Whispered morning rays of light
Quest of dewdrops in your sight
Knotted limbs with tiny flowers
Glisten in the morning showers
Wind stalks bustle, in the blow
Crackling leaves fell under toe
Soft breeze passes through emerald leaves
Wearily resting in the trees
A morning blur amongst the flog
To rest upon the fallen log
Brewer's yeasts, the mountain heather
Birds flock, by wings of gilded feather
Shimmer emerald leaves in morning dew
Beneath the sky serene and blue
Mingling birds among the trees
As they forage for the fruits they see
Fog settles over pastured streams
Like pastel colours, etched in scenes
Tender grass beside a gravel path
Where duckling wade into the river bath
Shadows cast among the clay
Payed homage to the morning rays
As the willow sways by the breeze
I watched the finches among the trees
The sun felt nice upon my skin
And there were thoughts I felt within
Thunders, the thundershower
Echo amongst the tiny flowers
As clouds pass through endless skies
I witness the moon begin to rise
Palomino, shimmering in marble white
Celestial beacon of the night
Where wearier ducks lapped the shore
And in the distance rapids roared
Dusty swirls plumed so high
Like endless towers towards the shy
Black birds bounced among the leaves
In search of bugs and honey bees
Copperhead logs, sun and soil
Neatly clustered tulips toil
Among the shadows as they loom
Sprouting spikes, in flower plume
Tinderbox of token twine
Beneath the shadows intertwined
Estuary of the ancient breakwater
Before the banks the dawn awaits
