No sooner Is It Said And Done
No sooner is it said and done
What light beneath the burning sun
Could compare to this my loving one
Fools have stepped with feeble toes
Through the valley and it shows
One heart that lingers on lonely street
Couldn't wash the dust from my feet
Some notions crossed or lay to bare
Could show how much I really care
For there is the hope that the world would share
Charred remains are swept behind
A place beneath the boarder lines
One moment's grace, and never a chance
Beside the sea we all should dance
For there is love, that is never shown
For in this world we're not alone
One heart is heavy and some have cried
With weeping tears and barren lies
Bound are we and born in truth
And we are infants in our youth
Isn't that the honest truth
Toward the sky with wings to fly
Wiping tears from tired eyes
For there is sediment upon my hands
And there is hope my fellow man
No sooner is it said and done
And there is fear for what's to come
Cherished be the breaths I breathe
Through tangled webs that I've weaved
And wayward be the lonely stranger
But at alas for I have known, my friendly neighbours
