Numb
Numb has never been so nimble
For I am unlike any thimble
Never the twain shall two hearts meet
Beyond the plane of earthly feet
Shackled by flesh and bone
I am a prisoner of this temple home
Even when the blood passes through these veins
I feel every ounce of my pain
Look at my eyes so gentle yet
And still I hold on to old regret
Even though I walk with earthly feet
To taste of life so bitter sweet
And know the longings of my lashings
To feel the scars of all my thrashings
Look upon eyes so sweet and pure
And in my heart I must endure
Pain has torn at the whole of me
And emotions swell like the sea
Quest, I be like an ocean wave
Then be accustomed to being someone else's slave
