Ode To A Poet

To inspire your greatness
Within the seed of your heart
To be the one to touch you
Where the tears gently flow

To know that you adore and applaud me
For the gift's that I share
To know that you love me
Even if it is from afar

To look through my eyes
And hear the message of my words
In literature classes you studied my works

And learn of my yearnings
Passion felt deep down inside
Someday I may be able to share
With you once more

Where for out thou now, my inspiration
As my dream vanishes in the mist
Farewell to this poet
Farewell with a kiss
