One Light To Lead A Thousand Candles

In twilight there is solitude even when my thoughts intrude whispers remark but not in vain for in my mind these thoughts remain

One Light To Lead A Thousand Candles

In twilight there is solitude
Even when my thoughts intrude
Whispers remark but not in vain
For in my mind these thoughts remain

Innocence has never had a cost
So why is it I feel this loss

No thoughts betray me, for I know
One open heart, before a thousand hands
And there is the hope that we might plan

Even if we live beyond the curtain
One thing is clear and very certain
It is the time to stop this world of pain
Before we succumb, to the falling rain
For in my heart the love remains

One light to lead a thousand candles
With the hope that you might handle
One notion that all violence ceases
And we could live in a world of peace
