Nathaniel By Darryn John Murphy
Act One
Nathaniel. Here boy drink from the nectar of life.
Boy. But this is only water
Nathaniel. And water is the nectar of life is it not?
Boy. Perhaps, or is it the heart since its what makes the blood flow
Nathaniel. Hardly boy, how could the heart be the nectar since it is but a mere organ, water breed's life into the world of the living?
Boy. And what breed's life within this realm?
Nathaniel. You're the only thing living within this realm, boy
Boy. And is it possible to return to the world of the living from this place?
Nathaniel. That would be an excellent question; indeed (Smile) Unfortunately I have no answer that would satisfy you boy. (Grin intently)
Boy. Oh so I'm trapped here then? (Sigh)
Nathaniel. Many a year have I been here, and many a year more will I see after you've departed this world boy.
Boy. So what will become of me then?
Nathaniel. You'll be safe with me, but don't you stray, the shadows are very unforgiving when the living travel in this plane.
Boy. I understand.
Nathaniel. We best be heading for shelter it will be dark soon
Boy. Then where will we go?
Nathaniel. I'll take you to my shelter you'll be safe there.
Boy. And where would that be might I ask?
Nathaniel. Come along boy we need to travel over that ridge my shelter is on the north face
Boy. Ok I'm coming (walking steadily)
