Say 'La Vie' Ma Chérie

The minstrel played Domingo I didn't say a word "I didn't speak the lingo" beside the fountain there was chanting my heart was beating, my breath was panting to my eyes you looked enchanting

 Say 'La Vie' Ma Chérie

The minstrel played Domingo
I didn't say a word "I didn't speak the lingo"
Beside the fountain there was chanting
My heart was beating, my breath was panting
To my eyes you looked enchanting

We tripped the light fandango
As we danced the tango
Beneath the northern lights
We held each other tight

You smelt like roses beside the moon
I remember that night we spent together in June
Where we indulged in our delight
Till the morning light began to rise
You were the light within my eyes

As sunlight shone upon our window sill
I felt the trill within my heart
Even when we did depart
Say 'la vie' ma chérie
