Seasons Come And Seasons Go

Possums ventured among the fields
Where marigolds reach skyward bound
While yellow lilies lined the way
Resting in the month of May

Seasons Come And Seasons Go

Possums ventured among the fields
Where marigolds reach skyward bound
While yellow lilies lined the way
Resting in the month of May

Hemp ropes meshed with canvas awnings
" Salmon swarmed upstream to spawn"
Whispers of the hoot owl calling
As the leaves are gently falling

As grey clouds come to fill the sky
Raindrops fall, like tiny footprints
Sounding upon the windowpane
As we listen, intently to the gentle rain

Lush green fields glisten in the morning light
As the storm passes quickly from our sight

Rustic etchings within the cabin woods
Made it clear for us and we understood
That seasons come, and seasons go
Like gentle rain and fleeting snow
