Serenity

So surreal to feel
Beneath the stars that burn this night
Strike thy candle that slowly burns
Beneath the world as it slowly turns

With its beacon and its light
Radiant within my heart this night
Beneath the stars that burn so bright
Tranquillity find thy peace within my sight

Illustrious in your loving rain
Take away the hurt and pain
Serenity heal the foul bone mend
By gentle touch of thy loving hand

Hope springs forth within my heart
Where now tears of joy depart
Serenity flow throughout this world once more
As you did once before
