Shadows

Lost within the shadows of my mind
How do I find new direction in my life
When all is lost within confusion
Does hope spring forth your pure emotion
The heart defines all that matters
But does love break through life's despair

Could the light of my devotion
Move me in ways that break me free
Of all life burdens that cloud my mind
In the Cold, Cold light of day

Am I humble within my humility
As I watch the sun rise before me
Is there a light at the end of the tunnel
To guide me through the desolation void of my own despair

Long have watch the world pass by my window
But do there real know the heart that dwells inside
Behind my eyes the cold deception dwells
But does the world understand my feeling
Lost within the shadows of life's burden
The mind of many a man
