Silence Shattered
In the southern alps
Hidden out of sight
Lays a large sleeping giantBut in the early hours just before the dawn
The silence is shattered
With the mightiest of roars
As the mountain blows its top hurling rock and ash
Like we've never seen before
The unsuspecting township resting just below
Awaken when the ground shakes
Tossing them to and froJust a short time later you hear the
Mightest of cracks as the lava starts to flow
Inching down the mountain to the valley just below
You can hear the forest burning
As it meets the lava flowThe township holds its breath as the lava heads their way
Destroying everything in site, But then
The lava starts to slow and the township is saved
But one day you never know
They may meet the lava flow| Poetry 1 | Poetry 2 | Poetry 3 | Poetry 4 || Poetry 5 | Poetry 6 | Poetry 7 | Poetry 8 |
