Silently Into The Night
Orion whispers silently into the night
Basking in a sea of speckled light
Leaves pass swiftly beneath my feet
As they moved quickly down the street
The noon was high the light was right
As I watch the waves that rested in my sight
The echo of their final roar
Silent now forever more
There was no second chance for me anymore
I had made my way by ship to shore
The swell was rife and the chill was thrift
You could of cut the atmosphere
With the blade of your knife
Distant echoes I hear no more
For now I rest beside the shore
And watch the stars in speckled flight
As I wait to bid them their goodnight| Poetry 1 | Poetry 2 | Poetry 3 | Poetry 4 || Poetry 5 | Poetry 6 | Poetry 7 | Poetry 8 |
