Snail Trail
As I walk along a dusty trail
I came across a snail
He smiles at me so happily
And said "Hello there, How would you be?"
I stopped to talk to him
The time it went so fast
I asked if he would like a drink
He said "why yes my friend", so happily
"I would be pleased to drink with you"
I told him all I could offer him was a bottle of Real Ale
He said "That's ok my friend you forget I am a snail"
We drank a lot that night and really told some tales
Until we both passed out beside the dusty trail
The next morning I awoke to find my friend had gone
All I had to remember him by was a long silky trail
The moral to this tale my friend is
If you're ever on a dusty trail
Never drink with a drinking snail my friend
Never drink with a drinking snail
