Solitude Befalls Me

My heart ponders questions about you your presence, your warmth, your touch for now I am adrift amongst the flaming seed of my hearts loneliness

Solitude Befalls Me

My heart ponders questions about you
Your presence, your warmth, your touch
For now I am adrift
Amongst the flaming seed of my hearts loneliness,

Solitude befalls me in twilight
Cooled by the mist that covers me
I will relinquish my soul
To distant echoes that move among us in the night

The withered cobbled streets that rest before me
Succumb to wind and fire
Beneath the passage of time
Neither besieges nor humbles me
For now I am lonely within the vessel of my heart
Scorned by life's bittersweet symphony
I will linger here till life's bitter end
