Spirit Of Our Nation

From the snow covered mountains to the open dusty plains
There is a spirit that sacred to our nation
It is present in every women and it's present in every man
It is the spirit of our nation, it is the spirit of our land

For the spirit of our nation
Is reflected in every plant and tree
In our mountain ranges in the valleys and our streams
We are a land of many people
And we are proud of where we have been

From the kiwi to the weka there is beauty to be seen
It is in every city and it's present in every town
We are land of natural beauty living beneath the southern cross
We are a nation of natural wonder and we are second to none

We are the nation of New Zealand
We will welcome you with open arms
For the pride of our great nation
will always be present in our hearts
The spirit of our nation
will always be present throughout this land
As we live as one nation united beneath the southern sun
