Springtime
Springtime comes but once a year
The snow melts and disappears
All because of the warmer weather
The valley comes to life
As the wild flowers bloom
And fills it all with colour
The river begins to flow again
Till it makes its way out to the sea
Where the salmon await to make their way
To the waiting nesting grounds
Of the stream
After a while the birds return
To play their part in
Nature's scheme
But at the summers end
The birds take flight
And head south again
There they'll stay till winters end
Then we wait till winters end
