Staring Down Upon The World Below
I have stood upon the top of a mountain
Staring down on the world below
A world of famine and hunger were there
The homeless have no place to go
A world filled with pain and suffering
In the cold light of day, A world filled with hatred
Where the innocent get lost within their pain
As the tears of despair begin to flow down upon their faces
But if the light of love could enter into the hearts of all of us
Then the world could be saved from our feelings of despair
And our pain would simply disappear
The spirit of humanity would rise up again
and we could hold our heads so high with pride
As we wipe away the tears of sadness
That have darkened all our lives
The pain of human suffering
would simply fade away as the day turns into night
The stars come across the heaven shine their light
