Stormy Waters
Beneath the barrage of falling rain
As the tears from heaven flow down the drain
I hear the echoes down the lane
Tempest be the stormy waters in my sight
Amidst the gusty winds, this thunderiest night
No blustery cloudburst I employ
Beside the ocean swell, the torrent roared
Beyond the murky skies the stars await
But alas for now, I fear it’s all too late
Hail the barrage before the skies
That falls upon us in our lives
As raindrops fall from suburban skies
I stop to think, but to wonder why
Blustery gust along the brook
And yet the suburb had a charming look
