Surrender

The pleasant scent of the salty air the warm caress of the ocean breeze beneath the sound of the crashing waves upon the grains of sands and cockleshell

Surrender

The pleasant scent of the salty air
The warm caress of the ocean breeze
Beneath the sound of the crashing waves

Upon the grains of sands and cockleshell
Will I succumb to my feelings as they begin to flow
Beside the sound of the oceans roar

As I listen to the crackling timber burn
Will I listen to the things I yearn
While I watch the embers burn

Beside the warmth of an open fire
Shall I linger here within my hearts desire

As the grains of sand, pass swiftly through my toes
Is it any wonder that my feelings show

Beside the sound of leaves rustling in trees
Carried forth by the ocean breeze
If only I could move as shiftily as the leaves
As they surrender to the breeze

Beneath the stars that burn so bright
Where I now wait till morning light
