Tequila Lights

Valley sage the war is waged for here I am caught within this cage to draw the line but what is the time I've spent my life living by the dime to my heart oh what a crime if only I had been given a little more time

Tequila Lights

The village sage of tequila lights
Upon the sea this savage night
Beneath the fires that burn so bright
Is there hope before my sight

The silent passage of written words
Seldom spoken and never heard
Of cryptic tales beyond the old abyss
Where lovers meet within the faded kiss
Among the leaves beneath the fallen mist

Lonely passage within my heart
I yearn to hold you in the night
Beneath the beacon of tequila lights
That rest beyond my very sight

The passage read before the gray
No hope is held beyond the flurry of fight
As we linger here within the darkness of the night
Hidden from tequila lights
