The Cherished Gift That We Both Share

Friendship is the beacon
That I hold deep within
The depths of the human heart
Sometimes tears of sadness others tears of joys
The gift of friendship blinds us
And this is where I come to you
Treasured light with my heart

From your first friendly welcome
To the warmth of your caring smile
You have always been there
With the cherished gift that we both share

In times of hardship
It's always nice to know you care
For no matter where I am in life
It comforts me to know you're there

Although many oceans stand between us
You are never too far away to touch my heart
The bond we share is precious and a valued part of me
I will always think of you fondly
Whenever I look upon the sea
