The Heart Has Yearned

Wishful and want for not for I am and happy with my lot words come easy when I think of you beneath the sky in the evening hue

The Heart Has Yearned

Wishful and want for not
For I am and happy with my lot
Words come easy when I think of you
Beneath the sky in the evening hue

For in the twilight the heart has yearned
Beside still fires candles burn

So wish upon the fallen star
A thought of you and who you are
One breath in time and you are mine
To taste upon the ebony vine

For there are beauties in your wake
And you are loved before the break
Seldom is it said with harps
The passage written in my heart

And sure the hectored honey sweet
For the one with earthly feet
For there's light my southern flower
That glistens in the evening showers

Behold the one that takes my breath
And I am sheltered in your clef
Creed gave way to preservation
And I am lost in your creation
