The Light Of Distant Stars

The light of distant stars shine upon us on this night
As I look to the heavens is there anyone in sight
If I wish upon the stars will you show me were you are
Do I light the candle how to show where I am this night

If you look across the heavens
Would you see my guiding light this night
As I held it up to the heavens would you see
The candle light this night

If I could move throughout the heavens
Would I find you in the milky way
Do you live in our galaxy or are you many miles away
When I look through the looking glass

Will I find you on this day or am I destined
To find you later wishing upon the evening star
Are you looking back at us wondering who we are
