Twain And Twice Removed
Twain and twice removed
And now I feel I'm in the right groove
Uncertain as the world really was
There were times I would realize what was the cause
For in the heart of all of us
We find the light in which we trust
For tenderness dwells within our depths
And life is just like taking tiny steps
Seldom is the heart so hollow
And love is given and never borrowed
Twain and twice as complex
There are the times that I reflect
Mirrored are the images born into mind
For the light of heaven, loves me in the divine
Parched I may be and the throat may burst
And yet i'm complex and free from thirst
For they're like the pebbles and stones
That I skim across the river at home
And in my heart I am never alone
So profound and without sound
There are the thoughts of you gathering round
To this heart I must be true
For there is a beacon of light beneath the sky so blue
