Vested Seed That I Have Sown

Twilight falls on hollowed ground beneath the seam of border brown was this life a mere simple test that I had endured and done my best

Vested Seed That I Have Sown

Twilight falls on hollowed ground
Beneath the seam of border brown
Was this life a mere simple test
That I had endured and done my best

Beneath the sea of hollowed light
Upon this land of rock and ice
Shall I take thy hand and roll the dice
While others live on grain and rice

Vested seed that I have sown
As I’ve lived, I have grown
For in my heart, I have my home
Within this waste land where I now roam

Within the vessel of my thoughts
The tempered passage of what I’ve taught
Is it hard to knuckle down
Upon my forehead, a sunken frown

I feel no fear and yet I run
Dissolute, and yet distinguished beneath the thumb
I shed no tears, like the teardrop skies
As the soul begins to weep, behind my eyes
