Why Have Thou Forsaken Me
Why have thou forsaken me
Within this final hour
As I watch the burning towers
Will the underprivileged raise and fall
Amidst the seed of the bitter cold
For long have I waited beside the fire
With the seed of my hearts desire
Mid enchanted eve among the trees
The fallen leaves may rest but not with ease
Swept away by life's desire, besieged by fire
Beneath the planet the candle burns
As our planet slowly turns
What light shall break by feather and bow
Beneath the covering of fallen snow
How have thou forsaken me
For want of need my hearts desire
Warmed by the candle, cooled by your touch
Lost in a world forsaken by love
