Will I Ever Find A Shelter

People often stare at the ceiling
Aware of what they're feeling
Caught within their own illusion
Witness to their own confusion
For life is less than complicated
If you take the time to contemplate it
Mirrored thoughts of our souls collection
Buried within our preservation
If we had only learnt, the art of conversation
Bitterness would cease within our population
Better off our nation would be
Beneath the searing heat within this swather
Caught within this helter-sketcher
Will I ever find a shelter
Worthy of my heart
Before the tears begin to fall
Will anyone hear my faded call
Savage thoughts by what I've heard
Scorned by all your frivolous words
